What Achieving BABA Certification Means 

BABA has established stringent requirements for domestic manufacturing within the construction sector. This legislation mandates that products must be manufactured in the United States, and further, that the cost of U.S.-sourced components must constitute more than 55 percent of the total component cost. This directive underscores a commitment to bolstering American industry and ensuring the integrity of "Made in America" claims. 

In a significant step towards environmental responsibility, Nichiha has announced that both of its Georgia-based manufacturing facilities have earned Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) from the International EPD® System. This prestigious certification signifies the highest standard in third-party verified sustainability efforts, underscoring Nichiha's commitment to eco-conscious practices.

The achievement highlights the dedication of Nichiha's Plant #2, which specializes in the production of architectural wall panels (AWP), and Plant #1, responsible for NichiProducts. 

Nichiha’s Architectural Wall Panel(AWP) line mimic the look of materials like wood, concrete and brick, but incorporate a built-in rainscreen that offers moisture management to support the longevity of the wall assembly.  

For homeowners and builders in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic seeking an affordable yet durable solution, Nichiha’s NichiProducts line deliver the popular look of cedar wood grain, board and batten or traditional lap siding.  

These facilities are critical to the company's domestic operations and play a vital role in the regional economy, employing nearly 600 American workers.
