With Nichiha Architectural Wall Panel (AWP) system you achieve a super-flat, rectilinear look very similar to what you get from Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) wall panels but with distinct advantages. 
Long-term durability

Nichiha AWP features solid and sturdy 5/8”-thick fiber composite panels which are highly resistant to moisture and impacts. High quality coatings resist fading and, unlike ACM, AWP panels are not prone to denting and scratching.

NO OFFSITE PANEL FABRICATION

ACM is just a material until a qualified fabricator cuts, routs, bends, and fashions it into a wall panel. Conversely Nichiha AWP panels are cut and fit to size onsite using standard carpentry tools saving time and money.

Eliminates Time-Consuming Shop Drawings or Field Measurements

Before offsite ACM panel fabrication, detailed shop drawings and field measurements are needed. These time intensive steps are eliminated with Nichiha AWP.

A Complete Single-Source System

How ACM panels attach to a building and perform against wind and water depends on panel and attachment specs. Nichiha AWP is a complete, fully tested, and code compliant rainscreen wall system, including attachment hardware, flashing, and accessories.

PLASTIC-FREE

ACM contains a plastic polyethylene core. Nichiha AWP has no plastics and panels are made from abundant natural materials including sand, cement, and cellulose pulp.

Superior Fire Resistance

Cement-based Nichiha AWP offers superior fire protection with flame spread index of 0 and smoke developed index of 5, outperforming ACM’s premium fire-resistant material option.

Built-in Rainscreen Moisture Management

Not all ACM wall assemblies provide rainscreen performance. Nichiha AWP features rainscreen attachment hardware that creates a vented and drainable wall cavity.

Cost Effectiveness

Nichiha AWP provides up to 50% cost savings on the wall compared to ACM.
