Nichiha has been a leader and in the forefront of fiber technology
for more than thirty years, and is the first fiber cement panel
manufacturer to utilize nano-technology in their newest product line
addition – Canyon Brick, Field Stone and Quarry Stone.
Nano-technology put simply
means that during the manufacturing process a layer of specifically
positioned molecules forms a microscopic layer of water that is
engineered to protect the panel surface from dirt and environmental
elements. The nano-layer when rinsed with water or rainfall will
automatically wash away grime and stains.
Canyon Brick, Field Stone and Quarry Stone panels follow in the rich
tradition of previously introduced Nichiha panels. The use of rich
copper tones, earthy browns, creams and tans mixed with startling
grays combined with true-to-nature textures sets Nichiha fiber cement
panels apart from the competition. These new panels engage the
designer/architect with their subtle natural appearances, offering
design options not yet thought of.
Each panel is a nominal 5/8” thick, 18 inches in height and 6 feet in
length, covers 9 sq.ft. and weighs 31.9 pounds. Backed by a 50-year
transferable limited warranty on the panel and a 15-year transferable
limited warranty on the panel finish, the Nichiha self-cleaning nano-panels
are designed to withstand the test of time, grime and extreme weather
yet still maintain their beautiful colors and hues as if they were
installed yesterday.
The patented Nichiha clip system saves labor time and costs, as no
special tools or specific labor are needed to complete installation.
The system creates a pocket of air between the panels and substrate,
reducing the potential for moisture build-up. No exposed fasteners
mean a clean, beautiful look for any commercial application.
